CRUISE PORT DINING GUIDE

Saigon / HO CHI MINH CITY

The headquarters of America's commitment to defeating the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army, Saigon is now a bustling city largely reflecting capitalist values.

Liberalization, or doi moi, introduced in the 1990's has spurred economic growth and created one of the most congested cities in Asia.

Since the cruise terminal is a 45 minute drive from central Saigon due to the new bridge spanning the Saigon River, you will have to use a shuttle or tour bus to get into town.

The food is a blend of Chinese styles with strong influence from the French, colonizers from the 1860's to 1954.

You will see French baguettes and cafés all over.
