Regent Seven Seas Mariner

Mazatlan

Mazatlan was a quiet fishing town well known for a bountiful shrimp catch. All that changed when tourism came to the Mexican Riviera. Sport fishing is a popular draw.  Wikipedia Link.

All three of these restaurants are owned by Grupo Anderson, operators of fun tourist traps all around Mexico. In 1962, Carlos Anderson and Chuy Juárez opened their landmark restaurant, El Shrimp Bucket, in the well-known La Siesta hotel.

They are fun, touristy, not too expensive and serve good food.

A taxi ride from the cruise terminal to the Golden Zone will run about $ 10.

Must Try: Margaritas.

Review: Non-stop party atmosphere, a favorite of the Spring Break crowd. So loud you'll have to shout to be heard by your table mates. But fun. typical is a conga line with tequila shots dispensed by a bandito standing on a chair as you dance through. $$
