About Shore Food
We
have been working on cruise ships for more than a decade
and are often asked about the best local, non-tourist
restaurants ashore.
So
we decided to create this Web site to share our best
port dining experiences and collect those of our
visitors.

We
have found that a key to understanding a culture is to
understand and enjoy its food. Our motto is "eat like a
local".
Dining is one of the greatest pleasures of taking a
cruise. Ships take great pride in the quality and
variety of the dishes they serve onboard. But
occasionally a change of pace is fun and will help you
learn about the place you are visiting.
Here
you will find information on eating places enjoyed by
the staff of the cruise ships and the local residents.
Generally inexpensive, close to the port and always
local.
We
do not accept advertising from any restaurants.
Enjoy!
